The Children’s Liturgy of the Word affords children an opportunity to hear and learn about the Sunday readings in an interactive setting appropriate to the attention span and comprehension level of young children.

Adult volunteers are needed to lead worship with the children. Teens (11 and up) or adults are needed to help keep the focus and assist with crafts and projects.
Training required is attendance at Children’s Liturgy of the Word prior to leading the program. The book we follow is very easy to understand. Attendance at an Ethics and Integrity workshop is also required.
Leaders need to prepare activities to go with the theme of the readings. This usually takes about an hour. One Sunday per month is the normal rotation for leading the group.
