On Jan. 1, 2002, the Catholic Diocese of Austin instated policies on Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) for all employees and volunteers who minister to youth or vulnerable adults in the diocese. Anyone – volunteers, paid staff or clergy -- who works or serves in ministry with minors or vulnerable adults in any parish or diocesan setting is required to complete an Application for Ministry AND attend a Protecting God’s Children workshop.
